Today I’m at the warm, wonderful, funny Dusty Earth Mother, talking about farming.

Dusty

Shari and I have known each other for a long time. We got engaged at about the same time, got married about two weeks apart, had a daughter three months apart and a son three months apart.

When we descend, every two years, upon their family of four plus two dogs, sanity and order (cough) abound in their tall narrow brownstone. It’s lucky we thrive on chaos or we wouldn’t be able to handle the seismic collision of small and furry limbs.

What? Who has time to shave their legs when the line for the shower is nine people long?

And our kids? Have had a long-distance friendship since birth. Our sons look at each other and giggle, and our daughters are best friends.

Her daughter calls my daughter “that girl.”

But Shari is currently in Florida surrounded by 72 theatrical cherubs and she needs guest posters because she apparently can’t get any writing done in the presence of 72 kids. Under-achiever.

If you go to BlogHer this year, you will hear her presenting in the VOTY category of humor.  She can also be found here on twitter, here on Facebook and here on her funny blog, where I, also, can be found.

Talking about farming. See you there!
