Do you know what’s so great about having a birthday party in a garishly-colored climbing structure?
The kids expend their energy elsewhere
someone else directs their running around
their father gets to realize his life-long dream
of building a life-sized lego house
And –
I don’t have to bake anything.
Do you know what’s so great about having friends who are getting trained to give professional manicures?
Do you know what’s so great about the Wednesday activities that include centre, dance, solfΓ¨ge, multi-sports, intro to music, chorus and soccer?
Well we do spend a lot of time in the car.
just sitting there and waiting for one or the other
but at least it’s warm and we can bring a good book.
Do you know what’s so sad about having grown up in upstate New York?
You are just so unimpressed with what Paris has to offer in the way of snow.
Do you know what’s so great about your post?…EVERYTHING!!
You’re the best OTG! π
LOL – I love the snow angel. And you. xo
I actually thought of you over there in MN, thinking you would laugh at our pathetic outpouring of snow.
Awesome glimpse into your world! xoxo
Hugs π
Hahaha! Yeah, that is not snow. I should send you a picture of our back yard right now π I am pretty sure I would be okay with no snow though if I never, ever, EVER had to live through -35 C again in my life!
(I’ll give you two guesses what the temperature was this week!)
Okay that’s just a little too cold for me. I guess I’ll take our lack of snow. It is pretty cold here right now. My toes are frozen in my thin socks.
I love your nails. I haven’t had a manicure in far too long!!
The last time I had one was before BlogHer. It was heaven.
And wouldn’t a friend becoming a masseuse be nice too! Love your posts always!
Jane, I laughed out loud. Why yes! I think I’m going to start dropping subtle hints.
Wow!!! This stuff is all true. We used to live in KC. Now we live in the south. There is snow on the ground, right now. The first one to last overnight in 7 years. Schools are closed, and it will be gone by noon.
Your nails! I love them. May I have a friend learning to do nails please? And I like that masseuse in training idea too. I think your kiddos need to visit Spokane, just to make a snow angel or two.
—Faaaaabulous photos. Love the nails! Xx
I loves me an outsourced birthday party, I have to say. Sometimes (during my Manhattan life) I would wince at the cost (I spent a lot of time wincing at the prices of things in NYC) but then I would consider all those things that you list and say…cheap at the price!
And that snow angel is just too, too sweet!
That is just enough snow for me!! Love the snow angels. π
Hahah I just read these in reverse. Here is the complaint about the lack of snow!!
PS I love how you find the bright side to all that carpooling. I shall tryand keep this in mind as I start my hours of driving this week!
The carpooling optimism was a wee bit tongue in cheek, ha ha. π
The smiles. You are giving me so many of them! I think Tori’s birthday is going to be a “tumble and play” party at her dance studio. Out of my house, wears her out, they supply all the decorations. Score.
You simply cannot lose that way! π
