Hi friends! You may have gotten some weird emails from A Lady in France since some unknown glitch caused three months of my posts to disappear (and an e-mail to be sent from the last post in May), and then overnight it all reappeared. And then you might have received an e-mail with the most recent post, which you would already have gotten about a week ago. I’m sorry about that!
I think the tech problems were due, either to a plugin and WordPress upgrades, or to a problem in pointing the name servers. (Yeah. That means nothing to me either). I think the “fix” was due to prayer. A miraculous healing. 🙂 I’m not even kidding because I went to bed with it broken, and woke up with it fixed.*
* Eks! Just realized my left sidebar is missing, which means I need more prayers (hopefully without the need for tech support)!
It’s been a rough transition from the jet lagged return from travel to the school routine, intensified by the fact that routine is anything but in the beginning, with all the parent-teacher meetings, and coordination of all extra-curricular activities. It was also a rude awakening to come back to our yellow, brittle garden from the heat wave and drought, and our house, which has looked like this for the last four months as the construction company tries to stay afloat, and in which no work was done in our absence.
That – and the pediatrician warning us that the coughing was indeed due to the mold infestation, which we need to fix asap but cannot do it without the help of the construction company. It’s quite a powerless feeling.
However, today I cleaned my floors, which makes me feel like all is well in the world. And it’s sunny, and I’m starting to feel almost … chipper! Despite many prolonged silences and technical difficulties on this blog, I still have lots to say and will eventually find the time to say it as things settle in.
In the meantime, I leave you with this guy. My “Petit Prince”.
and a few of his (blurry) dance moves
because he makes me laugh.
Hugs, and à bientôt!

With the exception of the mold and the blog difficulties, this makes me happy.
Clean floors and dancing.
And you.
