When apricot buds burst
and new plants thirst;
When projects abound
and tulips break ground;
When the kids are home from school
and you break all your own rules;
When you give in and finally get an electric trimmer
and you are utterly uninspired for dinner;
When toys are left out all year
and, what the heck’s going on out here?!
When husband and wife have a fight
and hope is just a tiny light
that everything is going to be alright.
(Anyone else drowning out there on February break)?

So sweet. The flowers are lovely, so are the rhymes. As a side note–am amazed the French actually stock peanut butter in their stores. Every non-American I’ve ever met (including my Russian husband) shudders at the thought of peanut butter!

Hi Stephanie, yes my husband shudders at peanut butter, and yet it’s now available at every major grocery store.

Three. More. Days. March (and sweet, sweet spring) cannot come soon enough, if only for a respite from these germs. Love your verses and pictures here.

Hope grows, February fades, school will resume.

We are expecting more snow again tonight…and March is when my girls get a week off from school. Sigh. I can’t wait to post of tulips breaking free of the ground and children coming in with soil covered knees:)

This was a beautiful post.
I can’t wait for spring either! This winter seems endless!
